Job summary

Aerotek seeks an Inspector to ensure aerospace engine components meet quality standards in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You will inspect vanes and blades, read blueprints, and document results while collaborating with production and quality teams.

Role involves using precision measuring tools, interpreting GD&T, and supporting root-cause analysis. Shifts vary, with potential weekend work in Middletown, PA.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, inspection, or quality control.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, including dimensions and tolerances.
• Basic understanding of print tolerances and GD&T concepts.
• Strong attention to detail for defect detection.
• Experience with quality systems and documentation.
• Familiarity with CNC/EDM equipment in an aerospace setting.
• Ability to support troubleshooting and equipment changeovers.
• Strong written and verbal communication for documentation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect machined, welded, and manufactured aerospace parts to identify defects or nonconformance.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection tools to verify dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints with tolerances and GD&T to ensure proper assembly.
• Tag and segregate nonconforming parts.
• Document findings and enter results into quality/production systems.
• Partake in quality audits and certification processes.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and support root cause analysis.
• Perform testing on vanes and blades per procedures and criteria.
• Support troubleshooting related to part quality and equipment changeovers.
• Interface with CNC, grinding, EDM machines when required.
