Safran Electrical & Power in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Quality Specialist to inspect materials and ensure conformance to engineering specs. The role includes creating and reviewing First Article Inspection Reports, and collaborating with suppliers on FAIR/PPAP processes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing, knowledge of metrology, inspection planning, and AS9100/AS9102. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential in a fast-paced production environment on the shop

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• 1-2 years of FAIR and PPAP experience.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Knowledge of metrology and inspection gauging required.
• AS9100/AS9102 experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Inspects parts/materials using appropriate inspection devices, drawings, and methodology.
• Define Inspection Plan for proper sample sizes and key characteristics.
• Records accepted/rejected material quantities in history jacket and database equivalent.
• Creates and updates inspection plan / programs for new and existing parts/material.
• Conducts First Article Inspections review and approval when required.
• Work with Supplier Quality in reviewing and approving FAIR and PPAP.
• Work with APQP pilot in creating and approving PPAP.
• Perform transactions for nonconforming materials in applicable system.
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Must execute assigned Standard Work.
• Must be able to work under deadlines.
