Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in Sarasota, FL seeks a Quality Specialist to inspect materials, define sampling plans, and manage first article inspections. The role supports APQP/PPAP processes and collaborates with supplier quality to ensure conformity with AS9100 standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 5+ years in manufacturing, and 1–2 years with FAIR/PPAP. SAP knowledge is a plus; ability to read drawings and work on a production floor is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have 1-2 years of FAIR and/or PPAP experience.
• 5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts/materials using inspection devices, drawings, and methodology.
• Define Inspection Plan for proper sample sizes and key characteristics.
• Record accepted/rejected material quantities in history jacket and database.
• Create and update inspection plans for new and existing parts/material.
• Conduct First Article Inspections review and approval when required.
• Work with Supplier Quality in reviewing and approving FAIR and PPAP.
• Work with APQP pilot in creating and approving PPAP.
• Perform transactions for nonconforming materials in applicable system.
• Basic Knowledge of SAP transactions a plus
• Read and interpret drawings.
