Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Kinston, NC, seeks a Quality Inspector for the Quality Line Side (QLS) to perform line-side inspections on aerostructure assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on identifying non-conformities, managing NCRs, and supporting corrective actions within the Quality Operations team, including FOD prevention and traceability in MES/SAP environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate degree in aerospace or quality preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with line-side inspections in a production environment and non-conformance management systems.
• Experience using MES, SAP, or equivalent manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft structure inspection across left/right panels and assemblies.
• Paint and surface inspection per specifications; verify thickness and finish.
• Inspect fastener installations and related gauges.
• Evaluate surface damage, laminate conditions, and product conformity; support defect disposition.
