Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a Quality Inspector for the Quality Line Side (QLS) to perform line-side inspections on aerospace fuselage panels and assemblies at the Kinston site. You will verify conformity to engineering, manufacturing and regulatory requirements, document non-conformities, and support NCRs and CAPAs within MES/SAP environments.

The role emphasizes FOD prevention, accurate measurement with calipers and micrometers, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to sustain product

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing or aerostructures.
• Experience with line-side inspections and non-conformance management systems.
• Experience with MES, SAP, or equivalent manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform QLS inspections of aircraft structures and verify conformity to requirements.
• Conduct paint and surface inspections including thickness, gloss, and appearance.
• Assess structural defects, dimensional conformity, and component condition.
• Identify, document, and manage non-conformities; support NCRs and corrective actions.
• Verify FOD prevention and maintain traceability per QMS and client processes.
• Document results and support quality audits and customer inspections.
