Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Kinston, North Carolina is seeking a Quality Inspector (Quality Line Side - QLS) to perform detailed line-side inspections on aerostructure assemblies and components for the A350 program. You will identify non-conformities, document NCRs, and support corrective actions in a production environment.

The role emphasizes maintaining traceability, regulatory and customer requirement compliance, and collaboration with the Quality Operations team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or Quality preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing or aerostructures.
• Experience performing line-side inspections in a production environment.
• Experience with non-conformance management systems.
• Experience using MES, SAP, or equivalent manufacturing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality inspections of aircraft structures and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Conduct paint and surface quality inspections (appearance, color, thickness, gloss, orange peel).
• Inspect fastener installation for flushness, grip length, lockbolts, and countersunk requirements.
• Identify, document, and manage non-conformances and NCRs; support corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and traceability; support audits and customer inspections.
• Ensure FOD prevention and adherence to Airbus quality procedures.
