Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Quality Inspector for the Santa Isabel, PR location. The role entails inspecting parts and assemblies, verifying conformance to drawings and specs, and maintaining documentation. Onsite work with an emphasis on maintaining product integrity and customer trust.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED with at least 2 years’ related experience and must communicate effectively in English. U.S. citizenship is required; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• No disciplinary actions in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, standards, and work instructions.
• Use inspection tools (micrometers, gauges, calipers, etc.) to verify specifications.
• Perform daily inspections of materials and sub-assemblies and reject non-conforming product.
• Identify discrepancies between plans and work instructions.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Notifications, Rework Records, and non-conformity documentation.
• Make decisions based on established criteria, including stopping processes when required.
• Conduct random audits of assembly processes, procedures, and products.
• Report critical issues and support process improvements with supervision and engineering.
