Job summary

Dexter Mag in Torrance, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector 2 to inspect aerospace components across multiple production phases and to document gaps in the Quality Management System. The ideal candidate can read GD&T, operate micrometers, calipers and indicators, and maintain detailed inspection records with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience reading and interpreting gauges and inspection instruments to determine conformance.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T dimensions for part conformance.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities with effective written/verbal communication.
• Experience with a wide range of precision measuring equipment.
• Good collaboration and reporting skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components and assemblies to ensure conformance.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators and other tools to measure dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect materials and finished products for defects or non-conformance.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation.
• Ensure calibration status of equipment and assist with calibration activities.
