Job summary

Houston Precision Fasteners seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to review machined parts for defects and deviations, using precision instruments and GD&T principles. You will log inspection data, verify process conformity, and coach junior inspectors as needed.

The role requires 4+ years in QC, AS9100 knowledge, and ability to read blueprints. Expect work in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment with standard safety protocols and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent or equivalent combination of experience/education.
• 4 or more years of related experience required.
• Intermediate knowledge of mathematics and applications.
• Basic AS9100 knowledge.
• Intermediate knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, incl. Keyence equipment, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gages, and GD&T features.

Responsibilities

• Examine materials and final products, read work orders and blueprints to verify conformance.
• Document/record quality inspection information.
• Evaluate information to determine conformity to standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures, and directives.
• Act as QC liaison and coach Level I Inspectors as needed.
• Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
