Job summary

Primus Aerospace is seeking a Quality Inspector for 1st shift to perform inspections against customer requirements and internal procedures. You will ensure timely flow of product, maintain inspection records, and support CAPA and audits as needed.

Requires 3–5 years bench inspection experience, AS9100/AS9102 familiarity, and strong GD&T knowledge. Excellent communication and ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years practical experience with bench inspection and in-process inspections
• Experience with AS9100 and AS9102
• Knowledge of GD&T and interpretation of inspection criteria
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Perform First Piece, Lot and Final inspections against customer requirements
• Interpret acceptance criteria per purchase orders and specifications
• Apply problem-solving methods (8D, Fish-Bone, 5-Why) and lead corrective actions
• Create and follow detailed in-process and final inspection plans
• Audit in-process inspection reports and ensure accurate documentation
• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspections and related reports
• Prepare accurate shipment paperwork
• Maintain inspection records and calibration of tools
• Stay current with GD&T standards and inspection techniques
• Support other duties (calibration, CAPA, audits, RMAs) as needed
• Be willing to assist with other duties as assigned
