Job summary

Enjet Aero is seeking a Quality Inspector - First Piece to verify that machine setups produce conforming parts before continuing with the job. You will prioritize first-piece work and perform inspections using CMM equipment as needed, ensuring conformance to drawings and AS9100 requirements.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, blueprint reading, and experience with CMMs (PC-DMIS/Hexagon). Collaboration with production and quality teams is essential for timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years aerospace/manufacturing quality inspection experience or formal training.
• Ability to read blueprints with GD&T symbols and interpretation.
• Experience operating or editing CMM programs (PC-DMIS/Hexagon).
• Ability to document inspection results clearly and communicate with production teams.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete first pieces in production order to confirm setups produce conforming parts.
• Report first piece results and communicate outcomes to machinists and supervisors.
• Re-inspect after setup changes and escalate when conformance is not achieved.
• Perform WIP or final inspections using manual methods or CMM programs.
• Set up and run existing CMM inspection programs and calibration checks.
