Job summary

AMETEK in Baldwin Park, CA is seeking an experienced Inspector responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspection of vendor-supplied and in-house components. You will perform AS9102 first article inspections, document results, and ensure materials meet specifications, using micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other inspection tools.

This role requires 5+ years of inspection experience, familiarity with AS9100/ISO-9001, GD&T, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years receiving and inspection experience.
• Proficient in AS9102 first article inspection.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 standards is a plus.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality processes to perform detailed inspections in receiving, in-process and final stages.
• Perform AS9102 first article inspections and other inspections per drawings and specs.
• Document all inspections per AMETEK procedures.
• Ensure raw materials meet specifications and perform tests/inspections at various production stages.
• Use handheld inspection tools for dimensional measurements.
• Witness testing to verify parameters found during test.
• Report nonconforming conditions to Quality Engineering and Management.
• Maintain knowledge of AS9100/ISO-9001 quality systems and blueprints.
• Maintain documentation and records in accordance with procedures.
