Job summary

The Quality Inspector ensures conformity throughout manufacturing by performing in-process, first article, receiving, and final inspections, aligning with AS9100 and customer specs.

This role supports continuous improvement and maintains high product quality, contributing to risk mitigation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence on 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6am-3:30pm)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years performing bench inspections and dimensional inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience performing AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform Receiving, First Piece, In-Process, First Article, Lot, and Final Inspections per specs and procedures.
• Verify product conformity using precision measuring instruments.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Validate dimensional, visual, and functional requirements.
• Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and maintain quality records.
• Maintain inspection plans and documentation; ensure traceability.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Assist in CAPA and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality and reduce defects.
