Job summary

Heico is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II to perform independent inspections of machined and brazed aluminum components for Aerospace and Defense. The role emphasizes FAI completion, GD&T interpretation, and proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including CMMs, micrometers, and calipers.

The inspector works with minimal supervision, supports CAPA activities, and ensures complete inspection documentation in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Practical understanding and application of GD&T.
• Experience using precision inspection instruments.
• Hands-on experience with FAI and AS9102 documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, parts, and assemblies to specifications.
• Interpret drawings using ASME Y14.5M standards.
• Operate precision measuring equipment including CMMs, micrometers, and calipers.
• Perform FAIs per AS9102, document evidence, and support production schedules.
• Identify workmanship or material defects and initiate NCMRs.
• Assist QA engineers with CAPA investigations.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
