Job summary

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and specifications to support inspection plans.
• Document inspection results accurately.
• Identify nonconforming products and support disposition and corrective actions.
• First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102 and customer requirements.
• Familiarity with AS9100/AS9120 and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and technical inspection of parts to ensure conformance to purchase requirements and customer specifications.
• Read and comprehend blueprints and technical specifications to support creation and execution of inspection plans, documenting results.
• Use calipers, micrometers, thread gauges to measure products and verify design characteristics.
• Verify inspection equipment is suitable and follow procedures for handling equipment.
• Identify, segregate and document nonconforming products and support corrective actions.
• Review and perform FAIs per AS9102 and customer requirements; coordinate discrepancies with Quality Manager.
• Support corrective action investigations with inspection evidence.
• Handle CUI and FCI as required.
• Support continuous improvement for Quality Department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
