Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Inspector to verify precision thin-metal parts across etched, formed, plated, and assembled components for aerospace applications. You will read drawings, apply GD&T, and ensure accurate release of conforming product with proper traceability.

The role covers final inspection and support for FAI/AS9102 documentation, requiring attention to detail, reliable attendance, and willingness to learn processes and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or manufacturing experience.
• Able to follow written instructions and record results clearly.
• Experience in dimensional/visual inspection preferred but training provided.
• Overtime availability discussed during screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as assigned.
• Confirm part number, revision, quantity, and applicable inspection requirements.
• Read engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications; apply GD&T as required.
• Measure dimensions using calibrated instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges); use CMM when trained.
• Inspect thin and delicate parts for burrs, scratches, contamination, plating defects, and other visual conditions.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain traceability.
• Identify and segregate nonconforming product; document discrepancies for disposition.
• Support FAI and AS9102 documentation when required; verify certificates and records.
• Coordinate priorities with Quality and Production; report blockers and support corrective actions.
