Job summary

RTX's Asheville site is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure airworthiness of aerospace components. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections, interpret drawings and specifications, and document results. You will collaborate with Operations to address quality issues while upholding safety and standards.

The role is onsite with weekend day shifts (Friday–Sunday, 6:00 am–6:30 pm) and requires training, certification, and ongoing compliance with FAA/JAA requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in aerospace inspection and reading blueprints is preferred.
• Experience with Keyence, profilometers, SAP or Solumina, and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components using drawings and procedures.
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to verify dimensions and workmanship.
• Identify nonconformances, generate Quality Notifications, and assist in root-cause analysis.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable customer, FAA, JAA, and other technical requirements and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Support Operations to resolve quality issues and contribute to safety and productivity.
