Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Quality Inspector in Ogden, UT to perform dimensional inspections on high-precision parts using CMMs and metrology tools. Responsibilities include First Article and production inspections, documentation, and ensuring compliance with AS9100D standards.

Required are 3–5 years of aerospace inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with engineering drawings. Compensation includes medical, 401(k), PTO, and benefits. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of dimensional inspection in aerospace/defense or similar.
• Proficiency reading engineering drawings and GD&T to ASME Y14.5.
• Experience using metrology tools and CMM programs.
• Strong documentation and software skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMMs and metrology software (Calypso, PC-DMIS).
• Perform First Article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections.
• Verify part conformity to drawings and tolerances.
• Document results in reports and databases; support nonconformity resolution.
• Collaborate with machinists to ensure production compliance.
