Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Huntington Beach is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure materials and products meet specifications throughout production. The role focuses on inspection, data documentation, and maintaining calibration of measurement equipment within our aerospace-focused facilities.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years QA experience in aerospace/defense, experience with CMM, and the ability to use height gauges and calipers. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Quality Inspector experience.
• Aerospace, space, or defense industry experience.
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience.
• Ability to use and calibrate height gauges and calipers.
• Knowledge of algebra and geometry.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducts analyses of in-process and finished goods, raw materials, and environmental samples.
• Interprets test results against specifications and control limits.
• Performs visual inspections of finished and unfinished products.
• Calibrates, validates, and maintains laboratory and measurement equipment.
• Participates in out-of-specification and failure investigations with corrective actions.
• Receives and inspects raw materials and reports questionable results.
• Maintains laboratory cleanliness and safety standards.
• Identifies quality issues and recommends solutions.
