Karman Space & Defense is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to develop and execute inspection programs that verify aerospace parts meet tight dimensional requirements. You will partner with machinists and quality personnel to inspect first‑article and production components, interpret drawings, and apply measurement expertise to ensure production accuracy.

Qualifications

• Read complex blueprints and use precision measurement instruments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Five or more years in mechanical inspection and two+ years programming CMMs.

Responsibilities

• Programs, sets up, and operates Coordinate Measurement Machines to inspect mechanical components with close‑tolerance specifications.
• Creates CMM programs from customer drawings and models to verify machining accuracy.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and specialized tooling to confirm part compliance.
• Interprets GD&T and works with machinists to verify first‑article and production results.
• Maintains organized work area and supports quality management systems.
