Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION is seeking an In-process Inspector to join our aerospace quality team in Cedar City, Utah. You will inspect aerospace components using calipers, micrometers, plug and ring gauges, and CMMs, read GD&T drawings, and document results.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering to disposition nonconformities and ensure traceability.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of dimensional inspection practices.
• Ability to accurately use calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Ability to understand basic GD&T concepts.
• Ability to recognize dimensional and workmanship discrepancies.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company-specific software and inspection systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections of aerospace components and assemblies.
• Inspect parts for compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Verify dimensions using precision inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Document inspection results and maintain traceability of parts.
• Identify and document nonconforming material and disposition.
• Read and interpret GD&T and inspection overlays to verify features.
• Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection equipment.
• Communicate results with Production, Quality, and Engineering.
