Job summary

Aerotek in Decatur, AL is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a contract-to-hire role on first or second shift. You will perform dimensional and quality inspections on aerospace components, using CMMs, GD&T, and precision tools, and document results in a compliant environment.

Ideal candidates have aerospace manufacturing experience, familiarity with AS9100/FAA requirements, and strong problem-solving and reporting skills. Onsite position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace quality requirements.
• Ability to read GD&T and blueprints with precision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional and quality inspections on aerospace components.
• Operate CMM equipment for precise measurements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Utilize precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI).
• Conduct surface plate inspections and optical comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with quality control and mechanical inspection standards.
• Document inspection results and report non-conforming materials.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve quality-related issues.
