Job summary

Karman Space and Defense seeks a Quality Manager to shape and lead the AS9100-certified QMS, driving continuous improvement across engineering, operations, and supply chain. You will oversee audits, RCCA, and document control, ensuring products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a small-company environment, strong communication, and a track record of improving quality performance in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive quality experience in aerospace/regulated manufacturing.
• Experience maintaining and improving an AS9100-certified QMS.

Responsibilities

• Owns, maintains, and improves the AS9100-certified QMS.
• Leads internal audits, RCCA, and document control.
• Represents quality in audits with customers, suppliers, and government.
• Partners with Engineering and Operations on process reviews and risk management.
• Oversees First Article Inspection, nonconformance, and MRB activities.
• Supports manufacturing with quality planning and problem solving.
• Leads and develops quality personnel and communicates metrics.
