Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Aerospace Quality Inspector for a 3rd shift position in Warren, Michigan. The role involves receiving, in-process, first article and final inspections on precision-machined aerospace components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have prior aerospace quality inspection experience, ability to read blueprints, familiarity with precision measuring equipment and CMMs, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience inspecting precision-machined aerospace components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and measurement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections on precision-machined aerospace components.
• Conduct dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using established quality procedures.
• Operate and/or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and CAD models.
• Verify products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify and document non-conforming material.
• Work closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve quality concerns.
• Accurately complete inspection documentation and quality records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all quality and safety procedures.
