Job summary

Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a Quality Inspector (2nd Shift) to perform dimensional, visual, and first article inspections using CMM and manual gauges, ensuring parts meet print specifications and customer requirements for flight-critical aerospace components.

The role requires at least three years in aerospace QC, knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, and ERP/QMS systems, plus strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing QA.
• CMM operator experience with Mitutoyo PC-DMIS, MCOSMO, or Calypso preferred.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading ability.
• Lean and quality systems experience (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Global Shop).

Responsibilities

• Inspect dimensional, layout, assemblies using a CMM or gauges.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections; document corrections.
• Store inspection data electronically and on paper.
• Ensure procedures and traveler sign-offs are followed.
• Provide training on CMM and inspection instruments.
• Communicate quality status to stakeholders.
• Support safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering for improvements.
