Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a skilled Inspector for a 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm, Monday–Friday) to perform inspections on aerospace components.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with quality systems and customer requirements through visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional testing. Responsibilities include conducting First Article, in-process and final inspections, maintaining records, and generating accurate reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years inspection in a manufacturing environment; aerospace experience a plus.
• Proficient using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparator).
• Proficient in applying GD&T principles for blueprint interpretation and acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections.
• Inspect in-process production against drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished products; document and communicate corrections; ensure non-delivered defective items.
• Maintain inspection records per government, customer, and company standards.
• Inspect incoming materials and document rejections; communicate nonconformances.
• Assist QA during internal and customer audits as needed.
• Issue Certificates of Conformance and maintain controlled documents.
