Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking an inspector for the East Granby, CT area. The role demands hands-on dimensional and visual inspection of aerospace engine parts and compliance with blueprints and specifications.

Candidates should have 2+ years of aerospace inspection experience, GD&T knowledge, and be proficient with gauges, micrometers, borescopes, and CMMs (PCDMIS/MODUS is a plus). High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or general manufacturing.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specs.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, gauges, micrometers, borescopes and measuring tools.
• Proficient in CMMs; experience with PCDMIS and MODUS is a plus.
• Experience in incoming, in-process, or final inspections in turbine engine repair is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace engine parts.
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to meet customer requirements.
• Measure features and determine conformance to specs using gauges and CMMs.
• Prepare inspection paperwork and documentation for traceability.
