Job summary

AV's Summer Internship Program offers a hands-on, 12-week onsite experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Interns collaborate with AV teams on meaningful projects, gaining professional skills and real product work experiences.

The Quality Engineering Intern will support investigations, use calipers, micrometers, MS Office, Minitab, and SolidWorks Inspection, and participate in quality inspections and audits under close supervision. U.S. citizenship or eligible status required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Resident or asylee/refugee status per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) is required.
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university in a technical/engineering major.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (on 4.0 scale) required.
• Available to work part-time (40 hours/week) for 8–12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality Engineers with investigations involving production and customer issues.
• Use Calipers and Micrometers to measure products for dimensional analysis.
• Participate in problem‑solving sessions.
• Receive detailed instructions on all work under close supervision.
• Work with software tools in your area of expertise.
• Participate in all aspects of Quality inspections, investigations, and process audits.
• Receive detailed instructions on all work under close supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
