Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, East Granby OEM is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan and direct activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products to meet customer expectations while controlling costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of aerospace quality experience, including familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, NADCAP and FAA regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer in aerospace.
• Experience with FAA regulatory requirements and quality systems (ISO9001:2015, AS9100, NADCAP).

Responsibilities

• Compile and submit packages for customer approval (FAI, SPS, ESA, PPAP, etc.).
• Develop and maintain quality control, assurance and process control systems.
• Train employees in quality control, SPC, assurance and auditing.
• Perform product, process, and system audits and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
