The ideal candidate has 5+ years in quality engineering, and familiarity with ISO 9002 and AS9000, blueprints, and SPC. Responsibilities include audits, process reviews, and corrective actions within a rigorous aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• ASQ certification is preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in quality engineering, preferably in aerospace.
• Knowledge of ISO 9002 quality systems; AS9000 is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and process sheets.
• Proficiency with SPC and statistical problem solving.
• Ability to prepare manuals and technical instructions.
• Proficiency with computer systems (mainframe and PC).

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating and maintaining quality assurance plans and objectives.
• Coordinate product quality standards with production procedures for optimal quality and reliability.
• Investigate and respond to customer quality complaints.
• Review RFQs and identify special quality considerations.
• Review and approve documents, drawings, and specifications to prevent defects.
• Review work orders to ensure controlled blueprint characteristics and proper inspection methods.
• Review and approve special processes and assist in supplier qualification.
