Barnes Aerospace West Chester Division seeks a Quality Engineer to integrate new parts into the quality system, collaborating with customers, engineering, manufacturing and the quality department. The role includes preparing First Article and VSE packages for review and supporting supplier quality and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will contribute to data-driven quality improvements, audits and lean initiatives in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; BA/BS degree preferred. BS degree in a technical field (engineering, manufacturing/industrial technology or 2 years equivalent experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment).
• Statistical Process Control background and familiarity with quality inspection equipment.

Responsabilités

• Integrate new parts into the quality system with customers, engineering, manufacturing and quality department.
• Plan and execute activities for development, application and maintenance of quality standards for processing materials into finished products.
• Prepare the First Article and VSE package for Quality Manager and customer review.
• Work with Purchasing to develop purchase orders with First Article of VSE requirements.
• Develop and analyze statistical data and specifications to indicate present product and process standards and establish proposed quality reliability expectancy of finished product.
• Investigate and provide solutions to problems for processes and product non-conformance.
• Perform quality audits of processes, products and workstations; audit suppliers and potential suppliers.
• Create statistical quality systems, such as trend analysis to control/improve processes.
• Make decisions that could affect program or product delays, costs and overall system quality.
• Resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
