Job summary

Superior Aerospace Precision Machining in Fridley, MN is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure our aerospace components meet strict standards and customer specs. This hands-on role includes CMM programming, inspection, and quality-system improvement.

You will perform internal and supplier audits, prepare First Article Inspection reports, review FAIs, and drive root-cause analyses with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or 12+ years related experience.
• ≥3 years PC-DMIS programming and hands-on CMM operation.
• Strong metrology knowledge and QA systems.
• Ability to read GD&T on ASME Y14.5 3D/2D drawings, models, specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate PC-DMIS CMMs and perform inspections (incoming, in-process, final).
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to verify product compliance.
• Improve the quality management system; prepare internal First Article Inspections and supplier FAIs; conduct audits.
• Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
