Superior Aerospace Precision Machining in Fridley, MN is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure our aerospace components meet strict standards and customer specs. This hands-on role includes CMM programming, inspection, and quality-system improvement.
You will perform internal and supplier audits, prepare First Article Inspection reports, review FAIs, and drive root-cause analyses with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to help ensure our precision-manufactured products meet stringent aerospace standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This hands-on role combines quality engineering, CMM programming and inspection, quality-system improvement, supplier development, and problem-solving across the manufacturing operation.
You will program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines using PC-DMIS and perform incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections. You will interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product compliance.
You will also maintain and continuously improve the company’s quality management system; prepare internal First Article Inspection reports; review supplier FAIs; and perform internal and supplier audits. Working with machine operators and cross-functional teams, you will provide quality feedback, conduct root-cause analyses, and develop effective corrective actions.
This position requires occasional travel for supplier audits, new-supplier development and certification, and issue resolution. Although the position has no regular direct reports, temporary oversight of inspectors or other personnel may be required. Additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
Qualified candidates will have:
Experience with aerospace or piston-engine components, FAA regulations, ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems, supplier auditing, and Non-Destructive Testing is preferred.
