Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Middletown, CT facility to ensure aerospace products meet standards across design, manufacturing, testing and delivery. You will lead quality initiatives, monitor NCs/MRBs, and collaborate across departments to implement corrective actions.

The role requires knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100, 3–5 years QA experience (or 4–7 years with AS degree), and strong communication skills; the position is on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of quality assurance experience; or AS degree with 4 to 7 years in quality assurance or related responsibilities.
• Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 regulations.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and mil-specs per government/customer requirements.
• Monitor NCs and MRB activities to meet milestones.
• Identify production problems related to NCs and develop corrective actions with other departments.
• Provide leadership on quality issues and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in program reviews and product cell meetings.
• Support Quality Department FAI inspection activities.
• Serve as liaison between MRB and management for requirements, cost, and schedule.
• Assist in training programs and follow established procedures.
