Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Creedmoor, North Carolina site. You will develop and implement quality standards for aerospace products, conduct inspections and audits, and drive corrective actions to ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA regulations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in quality assurance or engineering, 3+ years in aerospace quality, and strong problem-solving skills; proficiency with MS Office and quality tools; and a commitment to continuous

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aerospace quality engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 aerospace quality standards and FAA regulations.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices.
• Proficient in problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, A3, Ishikawa).
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and project tools.
• Aerospace flight-critical application experience preferred.
• J-STD-001 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality standards for aerospace products and processes.
• Document quality procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure products and processes meet applicable standards and regulations.
• Conduct inspections and audits of aerospace products and processes.
• Resolve quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage customer complaints/RMA process.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in aerospace quality.
• Continuously improve the company's QMS.
