Job summary

Heads Up Technologies in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Quality Engineer to support design, development, and post-delivery quality for cabin management electronics. You will own NCR and CAPA processes, drive supplier quality, and collaborate with engineering to maintain airworthiness across product lifecycles.

The role requires 2–5 years in aerospace quality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Onsite in Kirkland with occasional supplier travel.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace or regulated electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with nonconformance handling and corrective action processes (CAPA).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming, in-process, and final inspection data for conformity to drawings, specs, and PO requirements.
• Own the NCR process end-to-end, including documentation and disposition coordination.
• Lead and support root cause analysis and CAPA activities using structured problem-solving methods.
• Analyze product returns and field failures to determine failure modes and develop corrective actions.
• Track and trend reliability data and report insights to engineering and operations to drive improvement.
• Support supplier quality activities including SCARs and supplier performance monitoring.
• Maintain and update quality records and traceability documentation.
• Participate in design assurance and configuration control activities to ensure proper documentation and release.
• Compile and present quality and reliability metrics to support continuous improvement.
