Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Quality Engineer II to lead critical quality initiatives, ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and drive process improvements across aerospace manufacturing operations.

You will maintain a product quality and inspection system aligned with AS9100, NADCAP, and the plant's quality policies, including dimensional, metallurgical, and traceability requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science or Metallurgy.
• At least 3 years of quality engineering experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Aerospace experience and knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP.
• Strong proficiency in quality management systems, process validation, and customer specifications.
• Expertise in root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in CAD, QMS and ERP software.
• Leadership and mentoring skills with teams across functions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Lead corrective action projects using 5-Why and 8D.
• Perform internal audits and close out audit findings with proper actions.
• Review and disposition nonconforming material reports.
• Prepare and submit customer approval documentation.
• Create and maintain quality documentation (manuals, procedures).
• Support site needs related to over-inspection, shipment write up, and other Quality dock area functions.
