Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Quality Engineer I for the Kent, WA location on a 6+ month contract. The role leads quality activities, ensuring AS9100 and Nadcap compliance, plus GD&T and MBD accuracy across multiple product lines for aerospace customers.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, 2+ years in aerospace QA, and hands-on experience with inspection equipment. You will audit, document, and collaborate with suppliers and customers to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Quality Assurance within aerospace manufacturing.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and Nadcap requirements; familiarity with measurement and inspection equipment.
• Ability to define problems, analyze data, and communicate conclusions.
• Experience with reading and interpreting drawings/specifications with MBD.
• Lean/Six Sigma, ASQ certification, Lead Auditor training, and statistical analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer specifications, audits, and maintain quality documentation; process discrepancy tags when needed.
• Review production planning with respect to quality, first article, inspection, MBD, and GD&T requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and develop part inspection plans; drive continuous improvement projects.
• Communicate with customer QA organizations; coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance.
• Model safe working habits and comply with quality system policies.
