Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems – Colorado Manufacturing Facility seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure machined components meet strict quality standards. You will support QA, nonconformance, and process improvements in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

A DoD Secret clearance and AS9100 documentation experience are required. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, developing inspection plans, and coordinating with engineering for root-cause actions.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or master's with 2+ years.
• Experience with Zeiss GOM blue light scanning and evaluation.
• Experience working with non-conforming material and root-cause actions.
• Experience writing QMS documentation for AS9100.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD, and AS9102.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing for aerospace and defense manufacturing.
• Analyze QA requirements, develop inspection/test procedures and process plans.
• Coordinate review of nonconformance documentation and root-cause actions.
• Review and approve drawings and process plans.
• Perform quality inspections of components and assemblies.
• Document nonconforming materials and manage MRB coordination.
• Support quality audits and CAPA investigations.
• Lead process improvement initiatives.
