Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector Colorado Manufacturing Facility seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure machined components meet drawings and specifications and to support QA documentation for hypersonic defense systems.

You will participate in QA planning, review drawings and process plans, and lead corrective actions with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to AS9100 and regulatory requirements in Colorado Springs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience or Master’s with 2 years experience.
• Experience writing work instructions and QMS documentation per AS9100.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics, CAD models, and contract quality documents.
• Experience with non-conforming material and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to develop QA verification procedures and inspection plans.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing for aerospace/defense.
• Perform site quality planning and develop inspection/test procedures.
• Review and approve drawings and process plans.
• Perform quality inspections of components and assemblies.
• Document nonconforming materials and coordinate dispositions.
• Support quality audits and root-cause/corrective actions.
