Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Gardena, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality engineering and continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing. You will interface with internal and external customers and suppliers, lead audits, analyze data, and develop countermeasures to non-conformities.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing (preferably aerospace) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. AS9100/ISO9001 knowledge and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, aerospace preferred.
• Experience with military or aerospace quality systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering activities and projects under guidance of QA Management.
• Drive defect reduction by analyzing yield, rework, and scrap data and leading improvements.
• Conduct internal/supplier audits to ensure customer requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Perform PO/contract reviews to ensure flow-down of requirements across the org.
• Maintain compliance and continuous improvement of QMS procedures.
• Host client and regulatory audits and manage responses and follow-up.
• Perform MRB duties representing Quality Engineering.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations and Engineering to prevent quality problems.
• Exercise independent judgement on professional quality engineering tasks.
