Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer in Paramount, CA to provide quality assurance and control support for customers, suppliers, and internal production.

You will ensure products meet customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements and liaise with internal staff, suppliers, and customers on quality matters. The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years in manufacturing, with lean and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred.
• Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
• Lean manufacturing basics and data analysis skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer, supplier and internal conformance to requirements.
• Review RFQs and orders to verify quality criteria are met.
• Interpret requirements and identify cost-saving options.
• Review or create inspection and test plans and QMS documents.
• Lead surveillance, audits and corrective actions with customers.
• Manage material certifications and release to shipment.
• Reduce queues for approvals and document sign-offs.
• Address customer quality inquiries and facilitate root cause analysis.
• Train staff on QMS and inspection procedures.
