Job summary

Leoforce in Goleta, CA is seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer to join a thriving space hardware team. The role focuses on developing and enforcing quality plans, conducting audits, and driving CAPA on complex aerospace programs.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's in engineering, at least 5 years in quality engineering within aerospace, and strong root cause analysis skills. CQE is preferred, AS9100 experience is essential, and there are opportunities for mentoring and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in space/aerospace.
• CQE certification preferred.
• Experience with AS9100.
• Experience with CAPA and non-conformances.
• Root cause analysis experience.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing to develop and implement QA plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct internal and participate in external audits to ensure quality standards.
• Identify non-conformances and lead CAPA processes.
• Use root cause analysis to drive corrective actions and improvements.
• Maintain AS9100 quality management system.
• Provide QA support to manufacturing processes and drive process improvements.
• Train and mentor junior quality engineers and team members.
