Job summary

Compulink is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the QMS in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements within an aerospace wiring harness environment. The role emphasizes product and process quality, continuous improvement, CAPA, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in aerospace quality, experience with AS9100/ISO 9001, PPAP/AS9102, and strong analytics. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required; experience with ERP tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of quality engineering in aerospace manufacturing.
• US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 aerospace standards.
• Familiarity with IPC J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 cable/wiring harness standards.
• Experience with PPAP and AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel; ability to create macros and pivot charts.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain compliance with AS9100 and internal QMS procedures.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation (control plans, inspection plans, work instructions).
• Perform root cause analysis and implement CAPA (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits and follow-up actions.
• Review and approve FAI packages per AS9102 / PPAP.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections for harness assemblies.
• Interface with production, engineering, supply chain and customers to resolve issues.
• Support supplier quality activities including supplier corrective actions.
• Develop and report quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs and regulatory standards.
• Assist in training production personnel on quality requirements.
