Job summary

American Flowform & Machining is seeking a Quality Engineer to support and improve the QMS, ensure product conformity, drive corrective actions, and mitigate risk in a fast-paced aerospace/defense environment.

The role partners with Operations, Engineering, and Inspection to ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, and internal procedures, while delivering data-driven quality improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field. Experience may substitute.
• 3+ years in aerospace/defense/manufacturing quality environment preferred.
• AS9100 quality systems experience preferred.
• Experience with corrective actions and root-cause analysis required.
• Experience interpreting drawings and GD&T preferred.
• U.S. Citizen due to ITAR/EAR considerations.

Responsibilities

• Support AS9100D compliance and audits (internal, supplier, customer).
• Provide floor-level quality support for machining, flow forming, assembly, and inspection.
• Lead root cause analysis and manage CAPA activities.
• Assist with metrology, inspection data review, and GD&T interpretation.
• Interface with suppliers and customers on quality issues and investigations.
• Track key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
