Job summary

Poly6 in Burlington or Cleveland seeks a hands-on Quality Leader to manage frontline QC and QMS engineering for fired ceramic cores used in investment casting of aircraft engines. You will supervise QC at multiple sites and drive continuous improvement, ensuring AS9100 compliance and strong cross-site coordination.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aerospace or regulated manufacturing, solid GD&T and inspection-methods knowledge, and experience with SOPs, ECOs, and PLM.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person per export controls.
• B.S. in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Supervisory experience; multi-site leadership preferred.
• Strong understanding of dimensional inspection, NDT, and precision measurement tools.
• Proficiency with SOPs, work instructions, and inspection documentation.
• GD&T knowledge; CAD; familiar with ECOs and design controls.
• Strong data analysis to identify trends and systemic issues.
• Certifications: CQE/CQA preferred but not required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict management skills.
• Able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise QC operations at Burlington and Cleveland sites.
• Monitor workloads, balance resources, and ensure throughput.
• Track, report, and act on QC metrics (yield, defects, rework, turnaround).
• Set daily/weekly QC priorities aligned with shipment goals.
• Establish expectations for QC staff and implement corrective actions.
• Lead the qualification program for QC technicians through training and assessments.
• Ensure consistency of inspection methods and documentation across sites.
• Provide clear communication of inspection results to production and engineering.
• Maintain and improve the QMS to meet AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Lead or support internal and customer audits.
