Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer II for our Cleveland, Ohio forging operation. You will lead quality initiatives, maintain the QMS, perform inspections, and drive process improvements across aerospace manufacturing.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years in quality, with preferred experience in AS9100 and NADCAP, root-cause analysis, and CAD/QMS/ERP tools. Proactive collaboration with teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of quality engineering experience OR 7+ years aerospace experience in lieu of degree
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to work full-time

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system (AS9100, NADCAP)
• Participate in contract reviews to ensure customer requirements are met
• Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and final products against specs
• Support quality dock, shipment write-up, and other QA activities
• Contribute to APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and process flow documentation for NPI
• Lead corrective actions using 5-Why and 8D methodologies
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, LEAN)
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to transfer new products to production
• Assist Quality Inspectors to ensure compliance with QMS and customer requirements
• Prepare and review customer approval documentation
• Create and maintain quality manuals and procedures
• Support Chemical Processing as needed
