Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc., a Livermore, CA manufacturing facility, is seeking a temporary Quality Control / CMM Inspector to ensure precision-machined aerospace and defense components meet AS9100 standards and customer specifications. The inspector uses print readings, GD&T, and CMMs to verify in-process and final parts and communicates findings to the manufacturing team.

Candidates should have 2+ years as a quality inspector, with experience in manual and/or DCC CMMs (CMM Manager or MCosmo a plus)

Qualifications

• Print reading and GD&T proficiency.
• Experience with in-process and final inspection.
• Experience with manual and/or DCC CMMs; knowledge of CMM Manager or MCosmo preferred.
• Identify and record quality problems.
• Report quality issues with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with documentation.
• Critical thinking and data-driven judgments.
• Experience with measuring devices (meters, gauges, calipers).
• 2–3+ years as a quality inspector.
• Flow Tester and Nikon Video CMM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections including visual.
• Support manufacturing with mechanical and visual inspection for first piece.
• Record and maintain quality records.
• Communicate inspection results to manufacturing team.
• Perform First Article Inspection for customers.
• Initiate Non-Conforming Material Report for discrepancies.
• Collaborate with teams to solve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR and internal quality standards.
