Job summary

FINITETEK INC in Washington state is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for aerospace manufacturing. You will perform in-process and final inspections of machined and sheet metal components, read blueprints, apply GD&T, and support First Article inspections.

The role requires extensive CMM experience, AS9100/AS9102 knowledge, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure conformance to aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of aerospace quality inspection experience.
• 3+ years of operating/programming CMM equipment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing and precision inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined and sheet metal components
• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Operate and set up CMM equipment and inspection programs
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and prepare AS9102 documentation
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Apply GD&T requirements accurately
• Prepare inspection sheets, bubble drawings, and technical documentation
• Identify and document non-conformances and support required rework
• Maintain inspection and calibration records
• Perform first-part approvals and support production quality requirements
• Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality inspection
• 3+ years of experience operating/programming CMM equipment

Required Skills

• Experience with CMM Manager Software
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, and ITAR
• Proficiency in reading aerospace blueprints and applying GD&T
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other precision inspection equipment
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection processes
• Familiarity with CATIA, ENOVIA, Discus, Microsoft Office, and related quality/engineering software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
