Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a QA Specialist to ensure aerospace products and processes meet customer requirements, engineering specs, and QMS standards. You will collaborate across manufacturing, engineering and supply chain to investigate quality issues, strengthen processes and deliver conforming products.

The role emphasizes audit support, data analysis and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at the Tampa site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, aerospace, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and apply math/statistics.
• Ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer/regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations into nonconforming material and quality issues.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102.
• Develop and maintain inspection plans and quality procedures.
• Analyze quality data and implement corrective actions.
• Support audits and close audit findings.
• Monitor quality metrics and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production and Supply Chain.
• Participate in design reviews and process validations.
• Interpret drawings to determine applicable quality standards.
• Prepare deviation reports and non-conformity documentation.
• Develop methods and standards for inspection and testing.
